Provided is a foamed-water generating plug which is capable of generating good-quality foamed water containing fine, homogeneously distributed air bubbles. The foamed-water generating plug (100) is fitted into a water discharge pipe to turn water being discharged into foamed water. A circulating water-flow film forming portion (110) includes a gap (111), through which water flows, and forms a three-dimensional circulating water-flow film (112) in which an accelerated water-flow issuing downstream from the gap (111) is continuous in the circulating direction. An air cavity (120) is provided at some midpoint in a water-flow pipe as a place for forming the circulating water-flow film (112) and sustains an air-filled condition even when a water-flow of the circulating water-flow film enters therein. Air which is blown through an air intake (140) into an enclosed space, the enclosed space being defined by the circulating water-flow film (112) formed in the air cavity (120) and a surrounding wall surface, is mixed with the circulating water-flow film (112) to thereby form the foamed water. |
