PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing butene capable of manufacturing butene in high selectivity from ethylene and entailing a scarce catalyst activity degradation even under reaction conditions where water exists.SOLUTION: In the provided method, butene is manufactured from ethylene in the vapor phase by using a catalyst where nickel is supported on a faujasite-type zeolite.
