PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency oscillation source that implements low phase noise over an entire tuning band of an oscillator even if the oscillator covers a wider band.SOLUTION: The high frequency oscillation source includes: a reference oscillator 3 for generating an injection wave; a delaying section 4 for delaying the injection wave of the reference oscillator 3; an injection-locked voltage-controlled oscillator 1 adapted to oscillate in synchronism with the injection wave delayed by the delaying section 4; and a phase shift amount control section 11 for controlling a phase shift amount given to the injection wave by a phase shifter 7 such that a phase difference becomes zero between a leaky wave of an output wave of the injection-locked voltage-controlled oscillator 1 leaking from an injection terminal and the injection wave. The use of the leaky wave of the output wave of the injection-locked voltage-controlled oscillator 1 leaking from the injection terminal for phase difference detection is independent of an error due to a phase rotation in the injection-locked voltage-controlled oscillator 1, and has the effect of implementing low phase noise over an entire tuning band of the injection-locked voltage-controlled oscillator 1 with a variable oscillation frequency. |
