PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device for easily creasing optimum bar code data in light of ink droplet bleeding.SOLUTION: A plurality of patch images for which a plurality of different space widths are specified, respectively, are recorded on a recording medium on which a bar code representing bar code data on a recording target is to be recorded. Selection of the patch image having the space width that is visually recognizable and that is smallest from among the patch images is received from a user. The bar code data is corrected on the basis of the space width corresponding to the patch image the selection of which is received.
