PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device that keeps a low circuit loss whether in a switching operation or in an inoperative condition.SOLUTION: In the power conversion device having a capacitor chargeable with a voltage stepped up by a step-up circuit, and first diodes connected between respective output terminals of an AC power supply and a positive terminal of the capacitor, the step-up circuit has a first inductor, a second diode and a first switching element, the first inductor and the second diode are connected in series between a positive terminal of a rectification circuit and the positive terminal of the capacitor, the second diode is a diode having a shorter reverse recovery time than the first diodes, and the first switching element is switched between a switching operation and an inoperative condition. |
