<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent and inexpensive electric power steering device.SOLUTION: A first end part 18a and a second end part 18b of a worm 18 are supported by a first bearing 25 and a second bearing 26, respectively. A pair of first energization members 32, 33 placed on both sides of a pair of inner rings of a pair of angular contact ball bearings 27, 28 of the first bearing 25 (face-to-face duplex angular contact ball bearing) elastically energizes the worm 18 to a neutral position in an axial direction X1. A plate spring 50 (a second energization member) supported by a housing 17a energizes the second end part 18b toward a worm wheel 19 via the second bearing 26. A pre-pressure imparting member 31 fixes a pair of outer rings of the pair of angular contact ball bearings 27, 28 to the housing while pressing them in the axial direction X1, and imparts the pre-pressure in the axial direction to the first bearing 25.</p> |
