<p>The method involves detecting operation voltage at two individual cells (Z1-Zk) of a redox flow battery stack (1) of a redox flow battery using a battery management system. An amount of an appropriate potential gradient is calculated using difference of the operation voltages, and a manipulated variable of the battery is calculated using the gradient based on the dependence of the current value. The management system adjusts the manipulated variable based on the current value such that efficiency of the stack is maximized. An independent claim is also included for a device for magnifying efficiency of a redox flow battery stack of a redox flow battery comprising a battery management system.</p> |
