PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which only a sugar chain is effectively and surely purified from a biological sample in which contamination of a contaminant is large.SOLUTION: A sugar chain purification method is a method that purifies a sugar chain that is included in a biological sample, and includes: (a) a step in which a sugar chain is captured in a sugar chain capture material that is a material that specifically captures a sugar chain from a biological sample; (b) a step in which the sugar chain capture material that has captured a sugar chain is cleaned; and (c) a step in which a sugar chain is isolated from the sugar chain capture material. The sugar chain purification method is characterized in that the steps of (a), (b), (c) are consecutively performed in the same reaction vessel, the step of (b) is that the sugar chain capture material in which a sugar chain is captured in the step of (a) is cleaned by a water-soluble cleaning liquid in which a surface active agent is added, and the surface active agent is a nonionic surface active agent, and especially a surface active agent including sodium dodecyl sulfate. |
