<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bank bill handling device capable of distinguishing a bank bill for which unique information at the time of receipt does not match with the information at the time of cancellation payment.SOLUTION: The bank bill handling device for handling a bank bill: reads unique information of a bank bill thrown in a receipt/payment port, stores the information in a storage unit as first unique information, and directly receives the bank bill in a bank bill storage; draws the stored bank bill from the bank bill storage, reads unique information of the bank bill, stores the information in the storage unit as second unique information, and discharges the bank bill to the receipt/payment port when cancellation of receipt of money is accepted after storage of the bank bill; performs first collation by comparing the first unique information with the second unique information; reads unique information of the bank bill as third unique information when the first unique information does not match with the second unique information as a result of the first collation, and performs second collation by comparing the third unique information with the first unique information.</p> |
