In the present invention, a client characteristic and a pre-stored template image characteristic are obtained; the obtained client characteristic and template image characteristic are projected according to a preset projection matrix, to generate a projection characteristic pair, the projection matrix being trained and formed by a first template image characteristic of a same target and a second template image characteristic of different targets; and similarity calculation is performed on the projection characteristic according to a preset similarity calculation rule, to generate a similarity result to be prompted to a client.
