The invention relates to a vehicle tire, in particular a tire for winter, the tread of which comprises a rubber composition that is heat-expandable in the non-vulcanized state, and expanded in the vulcanized state; said composition, when in the non-vulcanized state, comprises at least one diene elastomer such as natural and/or polybutadiene rubber, more than 50 pce of a reinforcing filler, such as silica or carbon black, 2 to 60 pce in microparticles of a hydrosoluble metal salt powder, such as magnesium or potassium sulfate microparticles, 2 to 25 pce of an expansion agent, such as sodium or potassium (hydrogen) carbonate, and 2 to 25 pce of a hot-melt compound having a melting temperature of 60°C to 220°C, such as citric acid, for example. The combined use of said various compounds, at the anticipated rates, enables good adhesion to both dry ice and melting ice. |
