The machine has a sheet transport drum (4) that comprises multiple movable guide segments (5) which are arranged axially with respect to a rotational axis. The guide segments comprise multiple sheet printing pressing arcs (7) that are fixed on the concentric arc bearing surfaces toward the rotational axis. The sheet printing pressing arcs are fixed with the guide segments, such that the lateral edges of the sheets are pressed and fixed to the guide segments. An independent claim is included for a method for transporting sheets through a sheet-processing machine.
