The flange component (1) has a bearing hole (2) for receiving a shaft section (3) of a drive shaft for driving the high-pressure pump. The shaft section forms a running surface for a shaft sealing ring (5), which is inserted in the bearing hole. The bearing hole has a section (2.1) for supporting the drive shaft and another section (2.2) for receiving the shaft sealing ring. The latter section is formed by a sleeve-shaped portion (6) which is connected with the flange component in force- and form-fit manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a high-pressure pump with a primary enclosure; and (2) a method for maintaining a high-pressure pump with a flange.
