<p>A fluid inlet/outlet interface for an axial piston motor or pump comprising a rotatable cylinder block defining a plurality of cylinder bores each having a respective piston mounted for reciprocal movement therein, the interface comprising: a first slot and a second slot arranged so that, in use, fluid is input to the cylinder bores via the first slot and output from the cylinder bores via the second slot as the cylinder block rotates; and a first conduit fluidically connecting the first slot and the second slot, the first conduit arranged so that, in use, as each cylinder bore sweeps between the first slot and the second slot it is exposed to the first conduit.</p> |
