A media stream transmission method and a relevant device and a system. The method comprises: when a mobile client applies for a media stream, a central management server obtaining an access method of the mobile client and identifying an access method type of the mobile client; and if the access method type of the mobile client is a datacom access method, the central management server sending a notification carrying information of the mobile client to a surveillance camera so that the surveillance camera directly transfers the media stream to the mobile client according to the information of the mobile client; wherein the datacom access method comprises at least a Wi-Fi access method. Embodiments of the present invention can reduce a load pressure of a transcoding server during a media stream transmission process, reduce a traffic tariff of a user and improve media stream quality.
