PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object transport mechanism that is characterized in a structure for transporting an object or a vehicle, and to provide a parking device.SOLUTION: An object transport mechanism includes: a pallet in place of a conventional object transport mechanism; a stationary side guide mechanism that is a mechanism for movably guiding the pallet by selectively following one of a virtual longitudinal line and a virtual lateral line; and a pallet moving mechanism for selectively moving the pallet along one of the virtual longitudinal line and the virtual lateral line. The pallet moving mechanism has a turning rotatable roller mechanism having: a plurality of rotatable rollers including a rotatable roller contact point that is a contact point with a bearing-surface, and rotatable having an outer circumferential surface rolling along a rotatable roller virtual tangential line extending in the horizontal direction; a rotational roller support mechanism for swingably supporting the plurality of rotatable rollers around a rotatable roller rocking vertical shaft being a vertical shaft; and a rotatable roller drive mechanism for rotationally driving the plurality of rotatable rollers.
