PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index value calculation device and a computer program which calculate an index value corresponding to a shorter period than a period used in a conventional technique.SOLUTION: A computer program controls a computer to: read out chart data included in a predetermined acquisition period from a chart data storage unit which stores chart data associating high price and low price of a transaction price, and start time or finish time of a unit period for each unit period; determine the lowest price and the highest price of the transaction price from the read chart data; acquire the transaction price at predetermined time intervals; and calculate an index value indicating a transaction price trend on the basis of the determined lowest price and highest price and the transaction price. The computer program also controls a computer to: update the lowest price or the highest price of the transaction price each time the transaction price is acquired, on the basis of the acquired transaction price and the determined lowest price and highest price; and execute processing for calculating the index value on the basis of the updated lowest price or highest price, the non-updated lowest price or highest price, and the acquired transaction price. |
