<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fac body of an iridium complex having high yield and high purity.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a facial body of an iridium complex represented by the general formula (1) is conducted by irradiating light to a meridional body of the iridium complex and then treating it by using weak acid.
