<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display in which an aligning substance and a liquid crystal substance can be smoothly injected, and a method for manufacturing the display.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display in one embodiment includes: a substrate; a thin film transistor disposed on the substrate; a pixel electrode connected to a terminal of the thin film transistor; a microcavity layer which is disposed on the pixel electrode and which includes a liquid crystal injection port and a plurality of regions corresponding to pixel regions; a common electrode disposed on the microcavity layer; a supporting member disposed on the common electrode; a first hydrophobic layer disposed on the supporting member; and a capping layer disposed on the supporting member and covering the liquid crystal injection port.</p> |
