<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that prevents the occurrence of image blur during transfer of the image, which is caused by an impact on a sheet when the sheet enters a nip; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing device according to an embodiment includes: an endless heating unit that includes a heat generating unit; an endless pressure unit that is arranged opposite to an outer periphery of the heating unit; a nip forming unit that presses the pressure unit in the heating unit direction from the inside of the pressure unit to form a nip between the heating unit and the pressure unit; and an entrance guide that is arranged upstream the entrance of the nip to bring the heating unit and the pressure unit into contact with each other, so as to form an introduction part extending to the entrance of the nip between the heating unit and the pressure unit.</p> |
