The present invention is equipped with: a primary circuit, in which a compressor (1), an indoor heat exchanger (3), a first flow volume control device (4), and multiple parallel-connected parallel heat exchangers (5-1, 5-2) are sequentially connected by pipes to circulate a refrigerant; a first defrost pipe (15) that diverts a portion of the refrigerant discharged by the compressor (1) and causes this refrigerant to flow to the parallel heat exchanger (5-1 or 5-2) being defrosted, of the multiple parallel heat exchangers (5-1, 5-2); a throttle device (10), which is provided on the first defrost pipe (15) and which decompresses the refrigerant discharged by the compressor; and a connection-switching device that causes the refrigerant flowing from the parallel heat exchanger (5-1 or 5-2) being defrosted to flow to the primary circuit upstream from the parallel heat exchanger (5-1 or 5-2) that is not being defrosted. |
