PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device whose size is small while securing a required impact absorption stroke.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 comprises an outer tube 25 of an upper side and an inner tube 26 of a lower side which support a steering shaft 3 rotatably and slide relatively toward an axial direction X1 during impact absorption. At least on a peripheral direction lower area of an axial direction upper end 26U of the inner tube 26, a cylindrical roller 28 contacting to an inner periphery 25a of the outer tube 25 and having function as a first slide resistance reduction element for reducing slide resistance between both tubes 25, 26 is held. At least on a peripheral direction upper area of an axial direction lower end 25L of the outer tube 25, a cylindrical roller 29 contacting to an outer periphery 26a of the inner tube 26 and having function as a second slide resistance reduction element for reducing slide resistance between both tubes 25, 26 is held. |
