PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled vacuum cleaner which can accurately detect an amount of dust even when performing power-suppressed cleaning operation.SOLUTION: A self-propelled vacuum cleaner includes: a dust collection container which is disposed on a chassis capable of travelling and in which dust is collected; a dust collection part generating a suction air flow and collecting the dust into the dust collection container; a dust amount detection part detecting an amount of the dust collected in the dust collection container; a blowing control part controlling strength of the suction air flow; and a control part controlling travel of the chassis and also making the dust amount detection part detect the amount of the dust. The control part makes the blowing control part generate a strong suction air flow during a prescribed period of time and makes the dust amount detection part detect the amount of the dust in the prescribed period of time. |
