PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and reliable method of refining only sugar chains from a biological sample having a lot of impurities mixed therein.SOLUTION: A sugar chain refinement method includes steps of (a) making a sugar chain-capturing substance, which specifically captures sugar chains, capture sugar chains from a biological sample, (b) cleaning the sugar chain-capturing substance that has captured sugar chains, and (c) isolating the sugar chains from the sugar chain-capturing substance, where the steps (a), (b), and (c) are carried out continuously in a same reaction container. In the step (b), the sugar chain-capturing substance that has captured sugar chains is cleaned with a water soluble cleaning liquid doped with a surfactant. The surfactant is a non-ionic surfactant, more specifically a surfactant containing polyoxyethylene. |
