PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for preventing unnecessary interruption printing in remote interruption printing, and to perform interruption printing in consideration of security.SOLUTION: A printing system is configured as follows. An information processing apparatus includes: input means for inputting first user identification information for a user who logs in to an image forming apparatus; and transmitting/receiving means for transmitting the input first user identification information and print data identification information to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes: transmitting/receiving means for receiving the first user identification information and the print data identification information from the information processing apparatus; determination means for determining matching between the received first user identification information and second user identification information of the user who logs in to the image forming apparatus; and print control means for controlling interrupt of print data corresponding to the received print data identification information to the print data of the user who logs in to the image forming apparatus when matching is determined in the determination means.
