The present invention provides an apparatus and method for analyzing a patient, capable of developing an objective evaluation index suitable for the patient suffering from Parkinson's disease and providing the index to a medical specialist as an auxiliary index. The apparatus for analyzing a patient using an acceleration sensor according to the present invention, comprises: an information collection unit for measuring the motion of a patient being analyzed using the acceleration sensor so as to generate motion measurement data; and an analyzing server unit for receiving personal information on the patient being analyzed and generating an objective auxiliary index for diagnosing the state of Parkinson's disease of the patient being analyzed based on the received motion measurement data and personal information on the patient being analyzed. The patient being analyzed may move according to the instruction for motion by a medical specialist or a specialist, and the movements of the patient being analyzed are measured using the acceleration sensor.
