The present invention relates to a novel organic compound comprising an imidazole core, an electron donor and a receptor segment. The compound includes a compound indicating a small singlet-triplet gap by selecting disclosed donor and acceptor groups. The compounds are useful in an OLED device as host materials or delayed fluorescence emitters.
