The present invention relates to a sealed dome switch for an SMD in which a switch circuit unit is configured on a laminated structure of two copper plates using via holes, etching, and plating. The sealed dome switch for an SMD comprises a bottom plate made of an insulation material and having an adhesive function; a switch circuit unit formed on the top of the bottom plate to have a laminated structure of two copper plates and an insulating layer between the copper plates, having an electrical circuit formed using via holes of the copper plates and the insulating layer, etching, and plating, and having electrodes dividedly formed on the upper and lower copper plates; a dome press switch placed in the center of the top of the switch circuit unit and pressed on the upper copper plate to form connection of the electrodes; a protrusion made of an insulation material, placed on the top of the switch circuit unit, and having a circular hole in the center thereof to position the dome press switch therein; and a cover made of an insulation material, having a lower edge attached to the upper surface of the protrusion, and closely covering the top of the dome press switch. According to the switch of the present invention, complete waterproofing can be achieved by a sealed structure, a sense of clicking can be improved, and manufacturing processes can be significantly simplified. |
