METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING A PRINT JOB DATA ON A DEEP SLEEP MODE

Disclosed is a method for processing print job data received in a deep sleep mode by an image forming apparatus which performs a print job based on authentication. A method for processing print job data according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of detecting a wakeup event from at least one input port of an image forming apparatus; parsing print job data while maintaining a deep sleep mode when the wakeup event is to receive print job data; checking whether an authentication field value for executing authentication exists in the parsed print job data; and ignoring the wakeup event and maintaining the deep sleep mode when the authentication field value does not exist.
