PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member which can be assembled in a virtual image display device and has a favorable form with an appearance similar to a figure of spectacles while ensuring an optical function of guiding light, and to provide a virtual image display device using the optical member.SOLUTION: A light guide device 20 as an optical member includes: a projected rib 60 extending along a side end SP; and upon assembling the light guide device 20 in another member, for example, which constitutes a virtual image display device, first and second surfaces SS1, SS2 including a free curved surface such as a first surface S11 can be aligned with high accuracy by referring a part of the projected rib 60 that is provided separately from the first and second surfaces SS1, SS2, and therefore, an optical function of the light guide device 20 can be ensured in the virtual display device or the like. An optical main body provided with the first and second surfaces SS1, SS2 can be made into a favorable form with an appearance similar to a figure of spectacles. |
