PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the number of printings available in two colors even when printing full-color image data in two colors, by limiting usage of a chromatic color toner.SOLUTION: A calculation unit 22 calculates the maximum usage (area) of a chromatic color toner per sheet from the number of printings available in two colors specified by a user; a hue analysis unit 23 analyzes image data to calculate the area of respective hues; a hue range calculation unit 24 calculates a hue range that satisfies the maximum usage (area) of the chromatic color toner; and a two-color conversion processing unit 26 converts the image data into chromatic colors within the calculated hue range to perform two-color printing.
