a first joint part having a shaped connector and having a first receiver configured to receive a first component; and a second joint part having a mating connector that engages the shaped connector fixing the first and second joint parts to one another, and having a second receiver configured to receive a second component to be connected to the first component, wherein at least one of the first and second receivers is a channel formed in the respective first or second joint part, the channel having an open side that is covered by a portion of the other of the first and second joint parts when the shaped connector and the mating connector are fully engaged.
