The present invention relates to a research vessel, which comprises: a traction winch; a main wire drum wherein a traction wire is coiled and uncoiled by the operation of the traction winch; an SAS cable drum wherein an SAS cable is coiled and uncoiled by the operation of the traction winch; a compensator which guides a selected one between the traction wire or the SAS cable to the traction winch; and a spooling device which equally coils the traction wire and SAS cable to the main wire drum and the SAS cable drum, respectively. According to the present invention, equipment for SAS operation can be saved as the existing traction winch system is also used for an SAS operation for ocean survey. Therefore, a quarter deck can be simplified, space can be more practically used, and material costs for the SAS operation can be saved. |
