A terminal is provided. The terminal includes: a proximity sensor which detects whether an object approaches; and a control unit which performs a voice search based on a search word given through voice of a user when a voice recognition search request is received during call mode, and displays the search results on a screen when it is determined that the terminal is spaced away from an ear of the user by using the proximity sensor. |
