PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treated carbon nanotube capable of imparting excellent strength and toughness at a high temperature when mixed with a resin.SOLUTION: There is provided a surface-treated carbon nanotube which is surface-treated with an ethylene-maleic anhydride copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 10000 to 600000 and has a surface oxygen concentration of 3.0 to 30 atm% as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
