PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the imbalance of an IQ modulator.SOLUTION: A set of at least three test signals from the test signal generator 930 of an IQ imbalance measuring apparatus 900 is applied to the IQ channel of an IQ modulator 820 to generate an output being provided to a frequency measuring apparatus 830, and the output from the frequency measuring apparatus 830 is provided to the measuring apparatus 900. The measuring apparatus 900 measures one or more value, and derives the imbalance of the IQ modulator 820 from the measured values. Furthermore, the measuring apparatus 900 controls the test signal generator 930 to adjust the parameters of the test signal until a minimum distance is measured. |
