<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner suppressing the increases in the volume and weight of the cleaner body.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner has a function to wind up a power cord 10 with a power spring 13 and a (not-shown) cleaner body is equipped with a power cord reel 7 which is pullable and detachable. A handle 8 to be grasped when pulled and a power plug 9 of the power cord 10 are arranged in a direction to pull the power cord reel 7. The pulling direction is inclined forward within a range of 15 to 90 degrees with respect to the drawing (or pulling) direction of the power cord 10. As a result, it is easy to mount and demount the power cord reel 7 on and from the cleaner body to reduce the weight of the cleaner body. Moreover, the handle 8 acts as the protective wall of the power plug 9, too, so that the power plug 9 is protected at the time of housing the power cord 10 and so that the power plug 9 can be prevented from disturbance at the time of taking-up the power cord 10, thereby to prevent the cleaner body from being broken or the user from being injured.</p> |
