<p>An apparatuses and methods of tearing down a direct communication link are disclosed. In one innovation, a wireless communication apparatus for communicating with two or more communication devices includes a memory unit configured to store network information of a communication link between the apparatus and a first network communication device and store direct link information of a direct link between the apparatus and a second wireless communication device, a processor operationally coupled to the memory unit, the processor configured to retrieve the direct link information from the memory unit and determine that a direct link between the apparatus and the second device is inoperative, and further configured to generate a first frame indicating that the direct link is inoperative, and a transmitter operationally coupled to the processor, the transmitter configured to transmit the first frame for notifying at least the second device that the direct link is inoperative.</p> |
