A secondary battery for a vehicle given in the present invention is able to avoid entrance into an electrode bundle of a current collector by suppressing deformation of the current collector even if impact from the outside is applied onto an exterior member. The present invention includes: an electrode bundle in which a stack (25) in which a positive electrode plate (21) and a negative electrode plate (22) are offset and stacked by placing a separator (23) is wound and which has a flat shape; current collectors (31, 32) which are combined with the exposure part (21B, 22B) of the positive electrode plate (21) or the negative electrode plate (22) on the edge of the end of the electrode bundle (20); and an exterior member which accommodates the electrode bundle (20) and the current collectors (31, 32), includes a pair of front units (13, 13) opposite to the flat surface of the electrode bundle (20), a pair of cross section units (14, 14) placed at both ends of the front units (13, 13), a top unit (12), and a bottom unit (15), and has a rectangular parallelepiped shape. The current collectors (31, 32) are extended along the exposure part. On the front units (13), a cross section deformation unit for reinforcing hardness (16) extended in a direction intersecting the cross section units (14) is formed corresponding to the area in which the current collectors (31, 32) are extended. |
