PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid applicator capable of preventing entry of air in a chamber storing liquid such as ink, making it difficult to cause shortage of the liquid even in a case of continuous writing, and having excellent writing performance even in a case of upward writing.SOLUTION: A valve liquid applicator A comprises: a barrel 10 storing liquid I inside; an application member 30 provided on a tip end of the barrel; an application-member sliding mechanism 35 causing the application mechanism to make a backward motion or return motion by pressing and opening the application member on/to an application target surface; and a valve mechanism 40 that opens and supplies the liquid in the barrel to the application member when the application member makes the backward motion at strokes equal to or more than certain strokes and a pressing force equal to or higher than a specific resistance load is given to the valve mechanism 40. The application member is provided on the tip end of the barrel by a holding member 20, and the valve mechanism includes a slit valve 45. The valve mechanism opens in such a manner that a rear end portion 31a of the application member having a capillary force passes through the slit valve and enters the barrel, and that the liquid in the barrel is supplied to the application member. |
