In accordance with a predetermined selection method a transmitting terminal selects a representative terminal from multiple receiving terminals requesting the distribution of the same information, transmits the information to the representative terminal via one-to-one communication, and converts a first MAC address, which is included in the packets transmitted to the representative terminal and indicates the transmission destination of the packets, to a second MAC address, with which the receiving terminals other than the representative terminal are able to receive the packets. When a receiving terminal is notified that it has been selected as the representative terminal by the transmitting terminal, the receiving terminal receives the information from the transmitting terminal via one-to-one communication, and when a receiving terminal is notified that it has not been selected as the representative terminal, the receiving terminal intercepts the information transmitted to the representative terminal from the transmitting terminal. |
