PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet ink capable of recording an image with excellent glossiness, and a recording material recording an image with excellent glossiness.SOLUTION: An ink-jet ink includes: a pigment; a first resin (A) having glass-transition temperature of lower than 20°C and weight average molecular weight of 10000 or lower; a second resin (B) having glass-transition temperature of 23°C or higher; and a compound (C) expressed with formula (2) below. The content rate of the compound (C) is preferably 0.30-0.50 with regard to the sum total of contents of the first resin (A) and the second resin (B).
