PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device and a recording device which are capable of preventing their use while in a state in which accuracy of a detection part is not maintained.SOLUTION: A conveying device comprises: a conveyance part for conveying an object to be conveyed; a detection part which has a light emitting part capable of emitting light onto the object to be conveyed and a light receiving part for receiving light and detects the object to be conveyed; and an output part which compares a light reception result of the light receiving part with a predefined set value and outputs the comparison result. |
