PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image display device capable of widening a video region effectively available as a non-distorted image by reducing a correction amount of trapezoidal correction and avoiding generation of a useless region which may be left without being used, as far as possible when performing the trapezoidal correction in an image projection.SOLUTION: A trapezoidal correction processing section 53 performs trapezoidal correction (distortion correction) on video regions RR, LL being divided video regions divided into a plurality of regions, individually in accordance with divided video regions RR1, RR2, LL1, LL2. In such a case, each of the video regions RR, LL is divided into a plurality of regions. Further, trapezoidal correction in a pair of right and left virtual image forming sections 20 is performed in mirror symmetry and in the virtual image forming section 20, central positions (centers EX1, EX2) of eyes of a wearing person are adjusted so as to be matched to a non-distorted image with a little correction amount. |
