PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device that improves motor drive stability.SOLUTION: A motor drive device includes: an inverter 43 having a plurality of switching elements to drive a motor M; a rotational speed and magnetic pole position estimation section 407 for calculating a rotational speed ω and a magnetic pole electrical angle &thetas; of a motor rotor on the basis of information on motor phase voltage and information on motor phase current; a delay correction section 408 for correcting a phase delay of the magnetic pole electrical angle &thetas; calculated by the rotational speed and magnetic pole position estimation section 407 to generate a corrected magnetic pole electrical angle &thetas;'; a driving command generation section (401-405) for generating three-phase voltage commands Vu, Vv and Vw as sinusoidal driving commands on the basis of a difference between the rotational speed ω and a target rotational speed ωi; and a PWM signal generation section 406 for generating a PWM control signal to control on/off the plurality of switching elements on the basis of the sinusoidal driving commands and the corrected magnetic pole electrical angle. |
