<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which determines whether print data can be printed in a blank space of a document read by read means, and prints the print data in the blank space of the document read by the read means when the data can be printed, in reusing paper printed on only one side.SOLUTION: A control CPU controls a first side of a document (paper printed on only one side) to be read, to extract a blank space area from a read document image. The document stored in a second paper feeding part is conveyed and read by an image read part. The read document image is stored in an image memory. The control CPU horizontally counts the number of pixels other than white pixels in the document image, and separates an area including an object from a blank space area, to extract the blank space area.</p> |
