<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and easy-to-use handpiece for use in dental, dental-medical, or dental-technical field.SOLUTION: A handpiece comprises: an elongate grip sleeve; a coupling element being disposed at a rear end of the grip sleeve; and a head part having a tool receiver being disposed at a front end of the grip sleeve. The handpiece has an electric motor, the motor being completely integrated within the grip sleeve such that the motor is radially installed with a spring and is biased to a front fastening part within the sleeve. The motor is a brushless electric motor having a fixed stator and a rotor with two bearings, the bearings being integrally secured in the stator. A thin sheet laminate and windings of the stator are completely embedded in a sheath, the two bearing being also disposed in the sheath. The coupling element secured to the sleeve has a plate-like spring disposed, the plate-like spring compressing one side of the coupling element in an axial direction, and the other side of the plate-like spring compressing an outer ring of the rear ball bearing of the rotor.</p> |
