<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exposure means from being damaged, in a configuration in which a support member supporting the exposure means is moved to separate the exposure means from an image carrier, and a member removably holding a cartridge is withdrawn to replace the cartridge, the damage due to the movement of the support member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus S includes a storage tray 43 holding a cartridge 41 and an upper door 20 supporting an LED unit 17, and in which replacement work of the cartridge 41 is performed such that the upper door 20 is moved to separate the LED unit 17 from a photoreceptor drum 42 and the storage tray 43 is withdrawn from a body of the image forming apparatus S to replace the cartridge 41. The image forming apparatus S further includes a first lock mechanism that lock the storage tray 43 so that the storage tray 43 cannot be withdrawn from the body of the image forming apparatus S until the upper door 20 is moved to retreat the LED unit 17 to a predetermined retreat position.</p> |
