The present invention relates to an electrolyte for a high-voltage lithium secondary battery and a high-voltage lithium secondary battery including the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to an electrolyte for a high-voltage lithium secondary battery which has excellent high-temperature storage characteristics while reducing the rate of increase in battery thickness by inhibiting the generation of gas to prevent the swelling of the battery because the electrolyte is not oxidized and degraded when kept at high temperatures under high voltages, and which has also excellent discharge characteristics at low temperatures; and to a high-voltage lithium secondary battery including the same.
