<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply-structured gas alarm that permits switchover of alarm sound, checkup of alarming action and easy confirmation of alarm sound.SOLUTION: An alarm X is provided with: a detecting means 10 that detects changes in external environment; an arithmetic means 20 that calculates the levels of changes in the external environment; a memory means 30 that stores a plurality of types of alarm sound signals S2 in advance; an alarming means 40 that, when the arithmetic means 20 determines that it has detected any change in the external environment of or above an alarming level, receives an alarm signal S1 from the arithmetic means 20 and phonetically outputs one of the alarm sound signals S2 stored in the memory means 30; a power supply switching unit 50 that switches power supply on or off; and a checkup switching unit 60 that executes checkup actions to confirm the functioning of the alarming means 40. The alarm X is further provided with a control means 70 set so as to switch over to one of the plurality of types of alarm sound signals S2 by pressing down the power supply switching unit 50 and the checkup switching unit 60 at the same time.</p> |
